The game is for the die hard fans of the series just like all the other prolog or preview games in the series. I have hours upon hours into the Prolog and love it. It has been well worth the 40 bucks I paid and that is because I am a die hard fan of the GT series. If you pitch a fit about 40 bucks then maybe you should not be gaming at all...
Sony takes the initiative to redesign their console for greater efficiency and lower costs. Great company if you ask me. Now, only if the others would look at their example and do the same.
So that would explain why it's outselling the 360 and just recntly only sold 5000 consoles fewer than the mighty Xbox 360 in North America? Wow, really sounds like it's on the ropes. This title is an epic fail IMHO.
So what? We all know that the console will at least stay running through the entire game and have no RROD issues like the 360 so that in itself is reason enough to buy the PS3 version. If the game looks better at the same time the by all means, call it kudos.
At the moment, there are fewer PS3 out there than 360's. That being said, more people not in the next gen gaming sceene yet will be buying a console to go with their game. And at the moment there are millions of people that own a PS system and will make the move to the PS3 when buying the GTA4 game. This is not a hidden idea but more of an obvious truth.
Compared to to the 8,000,000+ people that will be buying the game retail... I know it's bad to pirate but every game get;s it's treatment of pirating and this is not a game that would go overlooked. WHen compared to the number of retail sales this game is going to get, the pirating is nearly insignificant and should have been a factor in their financial reports. Pirating is like death and taxes - it's inevitable.
The PS3 version uses a higher number of polygons for the hookers breasts to form a more lifelike look.

Sony Home is icing on the cake. It's nice to have and will only improve what we have now but what we have now is perfectly acceptable and does what it should. I play games and watch HD movies. Anything else is icing.

With any console that sell very well, you will always see a huge increase in shovelware. Look at the PS2, it had tons of it and finding the gems was tough in the midst of all the rubble. PS2. Now that thing is small, and looks great in any entertainment center. Very cool design for a great console.
With some of the funnest hosts and great dialog, it is by far the best I have seen. Xplay and Attack of the SHow have plenty of fun stuff to view and seem to keep an edge on all things gaming and then some.
The real question here is how long will Gamesradar suck arse?
THey were unable to get some cost reductions on the GPU I think. Due to some dispute with the GPU manufacturer they had to can the console as it would not have been a good money maker and putting more resources into the 360 was more feasible than trying to keep a mediocre selling console in the market. The Xbox was just not a huge seller.
I will be passing on this one. Why? 'Cause I am not a fan of the difficulty levels of the NG series. I narrowly finish them and when I am done I typically need to go to confession for the language I have used during the game. I can imagine the tapestry of profanity I weaved during Sigma is still lingering over lake Michigan to this day.
